Hi, I’m Xander. I was living in a Walmart parking lot when I was discovered by an SBACC volunteer. She rescued me and brought me to SBACC. I am a relaxed, handsome, and friendly boy and also quite a talker. I will flop over for belly rubs when I see you coming and will purr up a storm when you pet or brush me. Unfortunately, I was found to have a significant heart murmur and a cardiac consultation revealed a serious congenital heart defect that I’ve been told will probably shorten my life. I’m on medication now and doing well and enjoying life. It would be super if someone would be willing to give me a forever home despite my medical problem. It would have to be a stress-free home and with someone who would be OK with giving me daily medicine and taking me for regular appointments with the cardiologist. SBACC would be willing to pay for the medicine and cardiology vet visits to find me the right home!
