Hi, I’m Skye. I came to SBACC after being rescued from a car engine. I had some serious serious injuries, burns on my abdomen and chest, some internal injuries, and injuries to my left hind leg and tail. At first, everyone thought that I might not be able to stand or walk or even be able to use a litter box. But I surprised them when I showed everyone that I was able to do all these things despite my injuries. As I started to heal, my intestinal tract still wasn’t working right, so consultations and hospitalizations were needed trying to figure out what was wrong. At first, they thought I might need surgery but luckily with the right medicine, I avoided surgery, and now everything is working. Best of all, I don’t need to wear that awful cone anymore, and I don’t need any ongoing medication. I’m a very loving, social, and playful kitty despite all I have been through. I love to sunbathe in the window and climb up high to relax. When I hear voices, I’ll jump down from my perch to greet whoever is coming to visit. I love to be held and cuddled and petted and one of my favorite places is a nice warm lap. I am finally ready for my forever home and have lots of love to give.
