They call me Riley, RiRi, the Ri Man and boy do I come running like a prancing pony with a smile on my face when called. Wave a tasty treat and I’ll come running faster, at warp speed in fact. Oh how I love them treats.
I had a very rough beginning, living in a hoarding situation. When I was rescued and brought to the SBACC, I was extremely anxious and fearful, nervous of human touch. I’d sit in the corner of my condo shaking when volunteers approached. I was one very sad puppy, but slowly I began to come out of my shell and trust people..
Fast forward 16 months and look at me today. I am one happy-go-lucky pup thanks to the patience, love and kindness of the volunteers. They never gave up on me because they saw my potential and said I was special. Such smart people at the SBACC. Now when they visit me I roll over for belly rubs, beg for bum scratches and even jump on their laps for their full attention. I’ve become their bright light, and an ambassador for the little dogs. I love my 2 legged friends, but also love the company of my 4 legged friends. We have so much fun playing in the play yard, sunbathing and going on pack walks. Friends are the best and I’ve been lucky to have many.
Now I’m living the good life, but dreaming and hoping for my forever family with a 4 legged brother or sister. I need a doggie friend for company and to keep me confident and strong. Don’t be shy, you know you want to make an appointment and come meet me, the perfectly sized, handsome, happy gentleman called Riley, RiRi, the Ri Man. I’ll put that spark in your life that’s missing. Believe me, I know what I’m barking about. Wags and Kisses.
