Hi, I’m Pupusa. My brother, Panini, and I were abandoned when we were just two months old and were rescued by a volunteer from SBACC. I quickly settled into my foster home and enjoyed playing with two other foster kittens without any issues. I got along wonderfully with them and with people as well. When we were old enough, both Panini and I returned to SBACC to search for our forever homes. Unfortunately, we both contracted ringworm and ended up in isolation. Then, something much worse happened. I developed a life-threatening infection and would likely have died if the amazing staff at SBACC hadn’t rushed me to a specialty hospital. There, I was diagnosed with a flesh-eating bacteria that caused significant damage to one of my hind legs, which ultimately had to be amputated. After more than a week in the hospital, I returned to SBACC to continue my healing. I wore a cone for several weeks, but now that my stitches have come out, I’m doing great. I’ve quickly learned how to stand, walk, and even climb, jump, and run on three legs. Despite all I’ve been through, I’m still a friendly and affectionate guy, and I’m now looking for my forever home. If you come to meet me, I bet you’ll fall in love and want to take me home with you!
