Hi, I’m Petunia. I was rescued from a Seal Beach yard and brought to SBACC. I’m having a hard time adjusting to life at SBACC and am not being very social right now, but I’m starting to let some of the volunteers pet me and I enjoy treats! One of the volunteer was excited to hear me finally purr. I think I just need more time to settle in and I’m sure being in a home would lift my spirits.
I don’t know how long I was on the street but when I went to the vet it was discovered that I am FIV+, probably due to the time I spent on the street. Don’t worry, it is strictly a feline condition and despite what many people think, cats with FIV can live long healthy lives and since it’s not contagious, can live with non-FIV+ cats.
