Hi, I’m Kronk. When my sibs and I were just two weeks old, our Mama was hit by a car and killed. An SBACC volunteer rescued us and brought us to SBACC. One of the medical assistants took us home and bottle-fed us until we were able to eat on our own, and then we went to another foster home. We had lots of fun at our foster home playing with the two male cats. We learned to run around and climb the big cat tree along with the Christmas tree – oh boy, that was fun! There was also a big dog in our foster home, and although we didn’t play with him, we were OK with being around him. I love to sit on my foster Mom’s lap, but I’m also very active and playful. I would love to be adopted with one of my littermates or go into a home with another kitten or young cat to play and cuddle with. Come meet me, I’m sure you’ll fall in love and want to take me home with you.
Kitten Quinton
Hi, I’m Quinton. I was rescued from an alley when I was about seven weeks old. I was all alone, very dirty, and full of fleas. I have no idea what happened to my Mama or littermates. I was brought to SBACC and then went to a foster home. This is what my foster Mom has to say about me. “Quinton is pure joy. He is confident, loving, and easygoing. Playful is his middle name, and everything is a toy. Give him a ball and he runs after it like crazy. A pile of tissue paper is one of his favorites. He especially loves to run from me, not in fear but in fun. I clap my hands, and he takes off. Even taking his picture is a game. He runs from me when he sees the camera pointed at him. He came to me as a single kitten. Because he had no littermates to play with, we let him be with us when he was old enough. He settled right into our family. We have three older cats, and he got along fine with them, but he really could not get them to play with them very much. He wanted to be with me when he wasn’t playing or running around. He loves to lay on my pillow with his head on my shoulder or snuggled in my lap, falling into a deep sleep. He is a love bug. It will not take long for him to adjust to his new home. He is high energy and will do best with another kitten or young cat in his home so he can have a playmate.”
Iris and Niles
Niles and Iris are the cutest little Chihuahua mixes! They are a very resilient pair that are learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. We are so proud of the quick progress that they have made, which has been in a big part thanks to having one another! They have each helped the other become more trusting of people and more brave of the outside world. Even though they did not know each other before coming to the shelter, they have created an undeniable bond and we are now looking to send them home together!
Once they come out of their shells they are such big LOVES! Niles is always seeking out affection now, looking for pets and belly rubs. Iris comes and pops up on your knee looking for some love and giving her adorable “love nibbles” and licks to your fingers. She almost gives too many kisses, she is so affectionate.
Both pups had no idea how to walk on leash before coming to the shelter, it was clear they had just never done it before. Niles now leads the walk, always so excited to go out and explore. He tries to “walk” the other pups in the office as we’re getting all leashed up for the walk. It is beyond adorable. Iris is a great walker, but is not one to lead the charge so to speak.
When they go home, they will need lots of patience, as they will slide back a bit and be nervous in a new environment. However, with how quickly they came around to us at the shelter, they will be showing their goofy and lovable personalities in no time!
Kitten Ivory Needs a Home
I call her Ivory because she is mostly white with tan tips on her ears and tail. Bluest eyes. She was born outside, but her mother left her where she felt she’d be safe. We have cared for her feeding and petting and kept her with other kittens that will also be needing forever homes. She will need shots and spay by her adopted parent. We would like to offer her for free but will accept donations that would be used towards feeding the others we have kept safe. She is so playful she never wants me to leave her. She is approx. 2 1/2 months old now maybe 3. She is a little bit bigger than the pictures shared. She likes to follow and likes to be cuddled. She deserves a special person that will love her unconditionally and can keep her safe
Murdock
Murdock is a 6 month old German Shepherd who is going to be one big boy, as he already weighs 60lbs! He is a smart boy who will need a little bit of training as this big puppy doesn’t quite have all of his manners quite yet.
He LOVES other dogs and is a really playful pup! Murdock rides well in the car, does great with people, and is sure to make a great addition to a lucky home.
Morty Needs a Home!
Greetings and salutations, dear human. Might you, by chance, be looking for a handsome, refined gentleman kitty? Well, you can stop your search because you have found me! My name is Mortimer; my friends call me Morty. I have lived on the street for a long time, but I must have had a home at one point. I am great with people. I love being petted, scratched, cuddled, held, sitting beside you, or sitting on your lap. As wonderful as I am with people, I am equally terrible with other cats, so I must be the only cat in the house and kept indoors. I love to sit with you while you do crossword puzzles and will look at you knowingly as you puzzle over a six-letter word that starts with ‘B’ for ‘Feline Deity.’ If only I could talk! I hope to find my loving forever family soon, so please don’t hesitate to call Meghan at (310) 210-7481. I am neutered, microchipped, have my rabies and FVRCP vaccinations, and flea treatment. I am approximately three years old and a gorgeous medium-haired grey tabby with brown highlights on my muzzle. I hope to meet you soon! (rehoming fee and home check required).
Kitten Sonic
Hi, I’m Sonic. I was rescued from a feral cat colony by an SBACC volunteer. I was about 10 weeks old and clearly not feral. I’m a friendly, loving kitten who enjoys pets and attention. I’m also OK with being picked up and cuddled. I’ve just joined the kitten room at SBACC and am trying to get to know all my new roommates. I’m hoping for a forever home with someone who will love and pamper me, and I think I might like sharing my home with another kitten or young cat.
Bowser
Bowser is a smart, athletic, and loving boy who is about 3 years old, and a mixed herding breed pup. We are looking for a dog savvy home that can give him both the exercise and structure he needs to thrive!
He already knows commands like: sit, down, stay, and spin. Bowser does great in the car and he is always up for an adventure! Walking him is a breeze, he is trained to a head halter and walks so well next to you. Bowser is even muzzle trained since he has a hard time at the vet office. Do you blame him? It can be a scary place!
Bowser has been through some formal training, and even comes with some in-home training sessions! We are looking to set him and his future family up for success!
If you are a dog savvy person who is looking for the perfect running/hiking/adventure loving buddy, Bowser is your guy!
Kitten Tamale
Hi, I’m Tamale. I was four months old and all alone when I was rescued from the middle of a busy street in Seal Beach. I’m a talker who loves attention, and of course, I have some tortitude. I’m very playful and I’m also Ok with being picked up and cuddled – but not for too long. I was put into a kitten room with about six other kittens, and so far, I’m keeping to myself. At the moment, I prefer people to other kittens. I’ll probably be happy as an only kitty, but a home with another cat or two might be OK, too. Check out my cute little mustache!
Petula Clark
Hi, I’m Petula Clark. I was put in a carrier and abandoned with my tiny kitten, who sadly didn’t survive. I was very skinny and malnourished, but since coming to SBACC, I’ve been eating like a queen, gaining weight, and feeling pretty good. I’m young and friendly and hope for a forever home where I will be loved and pampered for many years.
