Hi, I’m Bonnie Raitt. I had been wandering around a nice neighborhood and being fed by the people who lived there. I was finally rescued and brought to SBACC by a volunteer who knew I wasn’t safe. I’m a sweet, friendly, chatty, and affectionate young kitty. I probably had a home at one time, and I’m hoping to find a home where I be safe and loved forever.

Hi, I’m Bjork. I walked up to someone’s door, looking for food and a safe place.  The women who lived there fed me but couldn’t keep me and brought me to SBACC, hoping they would find a home for me.  I’m a little shy right now but I’m a young and friendly kitty who probably had a home at one time and now I’m trying to find one that will be forever.

Hi, I’m Obie.  My four littermates and I were put in a box and left in a Seal Beach Park when we were 4-5 weeks old.  Luckily, we were rescued and brought to SBACC.  We then went to a foster home where we got lots of good food and TLC so we could get ready for our forever homes.  My foster Mom says I’m sweet and cuddly and like to be picked up and held, but if you’re lying down, I might come flying across the room and land on your face.  So I need a cat-savvy family with no little kids or seniors.  I’m sure to calm down as I get a little older, but right now, I’d probably do best with another kitten or young cat who I can chase, wrestle, and play with.

Hi, I’m Odette.  My four brothers and I were put in a box and left in a Seal Beach Park when we were 4-5 weeks old.  Luckily, we were rescued and brought to SBACC.  We then went to a foster home where we got lots of good food and TLC so we could get ready for our forever homes.  I’m the only girl in my litter.  My foster Mom says I’m sweet but feisty.  I’m a playful, active kitten who had to put up with four very rambunctious brothers.  I enjoy pets and cuddling when I’m not busy playing.  I would probably do best with older children, not little ones.  I could be an only kitty, but I would rather have a furry buddy to play and cuddle with.

I love to play and love to cuddle. I would probably do well with children or seniors and would be OK as an only kitten, but having another kitten or young cat in my home would be much more fun.

Violet is an adorable 7 month old girl who had to come to us through no fault of her own. She would benefit from a patient home that is willing to put in some time to build her confidence. Once she is comfortable, she is the goofiest most playful puppy! This girl loves her ball, playing with her doggy friends, and splashing in her water bowls – don’t worry, this seems to only be a shelter behavior as she was very well mannered in her previous home! We love seeing her let loose and splash around with the biggest smile on her face. Whatever makes them happy during their time here at the shelter.

Violet loves other dogs, to chase and wrestle and run around the yards together. The other dogs really help bring her out of her shell. They help show her that people aren’t that scary after all. When Violet has her doggy friends around, she is a total pro on leash! She takes lead on the walk, slowing down here and there to wait on her friends and make sure they’re still coming along!

Violet is a sweet girl sure to win your heart.

We are requiring that Violet goes home with another playful pup, to help her both settle into a new home, and help her thrive and be the best dog she can be! 

Mika was just a tiny ball, curled up facing the wall hoping nobody would come near her when we pulled her from another shelter. She is settling in much easier here, as we’re small and quiet. Although she is shy, we have seen quite a fun and loving personality already start to shine through! Mika is 2 years old and would do really well in a home with another small and playful pup to help show her that the world doesn’t have to be a scary place to her anymore.

By her second full day with us she was running around the yard, playing with her doggy friends. A few people she has started to really trust, she comes running over to pop up on their leg and give kisses. Mika just needs a calm, patient and loving home that will love her for who she is! We can’t wait to see her goofy personality continue to bloom.

We’re honored to be her safe place until her forever home comes along.
