Hi, I’m Manning but long ago my name was Wrangler. I originally came to SBACC as a grown-up cat around 10 years ago. I was adopted in 2012 and had a home for eight years. Sadly, I became blind and recently started to have seizures. This happened during the pandemic and my family’s vet didn’t know how to treat me. They decided it was time to let me go and took me to a municipal shelter where they thought I would be humanely euthanized but my microchip saved my life. It was still registered to SBACC and one of the volunteers from SBACC came to get me and bring me back to SBACC. They sent me to a specialty vet to check me out and put me on medicine to control my seizures. I haven’t had any since I’ve been back but the medicine makes me real sleepy so they are trying to adjust the dose. Despite all this, I am still a friendly and affectionate guy and I love it when the volunteers pet me, talk to me and let me sit on their laps. It would be super if I could find a nice quiet home to spend the rest of my senior years. It would be best if I could be an only cat because I am on a special diet for early-stage kidney disease. You can see me snuggling with one of the SBACC volunteers in one of the pics.
