Hi, I’m Kalvin. I was just three weeks old and all alone when I was rescued from the street and brought to SBACC. I went to a foster home but that didn’t last very long because I came down with ringworm. I had to go back to SBACC and live in a room all by myself for over two months while I was treated. Luckily for me, one of the volunteers came to play with me several times a week. I am finally cured, the ringworm is all gone, and I’m now ready for my forever home. The volunteer who has spent the most time with me says I’m an energetic boy who is very playful and totally fearless. I haven’t had the chance to play with other kittens or spend time cuddling with people and I’m looking forward to doing that and to finding my forever home. I’m a bit unique because I have an unusual coat color called fawn caramel tabby. One more thing you need to know is that I’m FIV+. It’s not that big a deal. Despite what many people think, cats with FIV can live long, healthy lives and it’s not contagious and can’t be transmitted from cat to cat by sharing food, water, or litter boxes.
