Hi, I’m Billy. I was rescued from an off-ramp on the 605 freeway after being hit by a car. My right front leg was broken and I was full of fleas, mites, and ticks. I came to SBACC and was sent to the vet immediately. I had to have my leg amputated because there was nerve damage in addition to the break. I went to a foster home to recover, and my foster mom says I’m as sweet as can be and a very special kitten. My eyes and face will melt your heart. Wait until you hear me purrrr, I sound like a broken motorboat but that never stopped me, purring is my specialty. My heart is solid gold and my will to live and be a normal kitten is strong. My foster mom told me “Billy, one day you’ll be big and strong just like the rest of them, don’t you worry.” And just like that, I learned how to walk and run all over again with only three legs, I learned how to play with my foster siblings, and even learned how to clean myself again. I love to be held like a little baby and I especially love toe bean massages. My foster mom used to massage my legs and toe beans when I wasn’t able to walk after my surgery. Don’t let my three legs fool you. I’m quick when I want to be, and I love to play. My foster home has two cats and a small dog and I loved other cats and didn’t mind the dog. Friends of my foster Mom met me and fell in love and decided to adopt me! I had a rough start in life but now I feel like a very lucky kitten.
