Hi, I’m Impala. I was rescued from a yard along with my four, four-day-old kittens. We came to SBACC and then went to a foster home where I was able to raise my kittens in a safe and loving home. Of course, I got help from our foster Mom. She named me Impala because I remind her of impalas which are slender and agile creatures and one of the most graceful of Africa’s antelopes. My foster Mom says I am beautiful, athletic, intelligent, and companionable. I took really good care of my kittens and love my human companions. I know what I like and will arrange the litter in my box in a specific pattern after my humans mess it up by scooping and flattening it. I love to stay in motion and am fleet of foot like the impalas in Africa. I will chase bounced balls and can knock them down mid-air. Sometimes I will bring them back to you but I may carry them around in my mouth proclaiming my skill. While I’m not a lap cat, I love being petted, and am happy to sit beside you and be combed or brushed. I’m a confident cat and like greeting new people. I especially like sitting in front of the screen door watching the world outside and feeling the wind in my fur. I am now ready for my forever home and I think I would thrive in an active household where I can show off my speed and agility. I’m with three of my kittens in one pic and napping with one of them in another.
