Hi, I’m Heidi. My sister Haley and I came to SBACC when we were just three weeks old. We were found under a house and our Mama was nowhere to be found. We have spent a lot of time in foster homes, where we learned how to play and just be kittens! I’m a beautiful kitty, with amber eyes and a fluffy black and silver coat. I’m very self-assured and brave, and I don’t hide when I move into a new home. I’m pretty mellow and taking medicine or having my nails clipped is no big deal to me! I’m more of a “sit in your lap” type kitty, rather than a “zoom around the house” type kitty. I even like being held and cuddled. I’m always the first kitty to welcome my foster mom and come running when I hear the sound of cans being opened! I love to watch the squirrels from the window and play with my sister. Just when we were ready for our forever homes we came down with ringworm. It took a long time to go away but when it was gone it was discovered that I had a more serious problem. I had some episodes of lethargy, nausea, and drooling and medical tests revealed a rare congenital condition called a liver shunt. My blood was bypassing my liver and going directly to my heart and the rest of my body without being detoxified. I had to have some very complicated and expensive surgery to fix this problem but it was successful and I’m recovered and finally, finally ready for my forever home. I’m used to other cats and would love to go home with my sister or another cat or kitten.
