“No longer by our sides
But forever in our hearts”
Bohdi’s short life, sadly, was a series of multiple vet visits, tests, procedures, dietary changes, med changes and activity changes. Bohdi became one of our office dogs and because excitability would aggravate his regurgitation, he had his own private pen. Considering he was such a young boy, he handled his living situation like a champ. It was as if he knew this was for his best interest and he was fully onboard. When he was doing well, the excitement in the office was palpable. Likewise, when he took a turn for the worse it felt like a punch to the gut. Feeling so helpless, we would just give Bohdi all the extra love and attention he could handle. All in the hopes that our little Bohdi would be given a new chance at a better life.
Through it all, his indomitable spirit and sweet disposition came through with shining colors. He was so loved by everyone, and he gave that love right back to everyone who greeted him. He was truly a happy boy.
As his condition worsened, he was taken in, where we learned his condition was more serious than we originally had thought, and his prognosis was poor. The end came suddenly, and he ultimately succumbed to his physical limitations. It caught many off guard as it was not what we had expected, much less hoped for.
But as any animal lover will tell you, when our dogs cross over, they truly can live their best life. Mr. Bohdi, you never met Sunshine, Rosebud or Forest, but they will be your new office mates. Play hard and don’t ever stop wagging that tail of yours.
Your sweet spirit is forever free.
