My name is Lucie Silver and I’m currently fostering an adorable 4 month old pure Siberian husky named Azula! She was born March 10th of 2024.
I’ve been self fostering (I’ve done many kittens but this is my first puppy) since the early mid of May. She had 6 siblings and was with her parents for an appropriate amount of time. She comes from a safe home. No abuse or concerns for her health.
She currently living with my old dog (14 years old) and my 3 cats. She loves my older dog, but he’s a little iffy with her, haha! He grumbles alot and walks away.
She is decent around cats, but her natural prey drive causes her to want to chase, and she’s getting too big to do that without worry. I’m pretty sure she means to play, but the cats don’t see it that way….
She currently knows sit, touch(nose to hand), paw and her name. We are working on leave it and stay.
She walks well on a lease and harness. She is human friendly and with the minimum amount of dogs she’s met she’s been friendly.
She’s due for her last shots very very soon. I have records of the other shots (all from CAMP SAN PEDRO or originally SNPLA)
She loves to play and she loves her tug rope. She is potty pad trained, but we are working on outdoor potty. She does well alone at home during the day (I have a camera to check in during the day) but she has to have a dog companion to keep her calm and happy. Mostly she sleeps during the day. She is medium on the vocal. She grumbles and does low excited roos, but very little howling. She will do a few barks on occasion but if I shhhs her she stops. She’s a very smart good girl. I just don’t have the ability to care long term for a husky puppy unfortunately.
She is a very good dog for an outdoorsy, active couple or someone with slightly older kids since she will be big and huskies are known for being stubborn and somewhat mouthy.
Feel free to reach out with any questions!
