Name: Charlotte
Breed: French Bulldog – Frenchie
Birthday April 27, 2023
Spayed
Up to date on shots. Have the rabies cert.
Started the license process and paid for the license just didn’t send in the rabies certificate yet. Have the letter to prove that.
Health: She is healthy with no active health issues at this time.
Microchipped – I do have to find the paperwork though, we moved and I don’t where it is right now.
House Training – Mostly house trained. Originally trained on puppy pads (in an upstairs apartment). With regular walks or access to a yard does pretty good toileting outside. May require a little training in a new environment.
Training: Knows sit, knows the ASL sign for sit, wait (but can be stubborn about that one), knows hi-five. When out walking and distractions are around such as others walking a dog she is told “stay quiet” and “None-ya” and for the most part will stay quiet. knows “Leave it” but sometimes if she has something in her mouth that she doesn’t want to give up I use “Trade Mommy” and I will trade her for a treat she will give it up. She sleeps in a pen rather than a crate and at night for bedtime I will get a greenie and tell her “brush your teeth” and she will run to her pen for her greenie and bedtime.
Likes blankets over a dog bed.
Would love to sleep with someone if allowed.
Good with other dogs and has had limited experience with cats but so far no known problems with cats. Is very sweet overall, just excitable and wants lots of attention.
Reason for rehome is simply that Charlotte is too strong for our various health issues and the apartment setting does not appear to be the best environment for her. I am afraid she will get away from me and end up getting eaten by the coyotes that prowl around. She has gotten away from me twice and she was having a field day running and jumping and so excited to run like the wind but it is scary to me. She is active and needs to run and play and jump. She has never bitten or aggressively growled even when another dog has aggressed against her, she puts her ears back and gets this sad hurt look on her face when she has been snapped at. She does still puppy play but it looks completely normal for a dog her age. She has whined and has a soft bark. When she is on alert she has a louder bark but it is not a high pitched obnoxious bark. Overall, she is well behaved and sweet.
Rehoming Fee: 1,000 Originally adopted for 4,0000
