Franco is a gorgeous young shepherd that came to us as a stray. Since he came as a stray, we have absolutely no background on him. It was clear from the second he came in that he found the world very intimidating. Franco was too nervous to go for walks, and was just so scared of everything. So he went to board and train, where they worked on managing his generalized anxiety.
We’ve found that he does best with large, spayed female dogs and just LOVES having a friend to play with. He does need another dog in the home, who is confident and can help continue to show him the world is not so scary. On top of that, he needs a person who can dedicate time towards building his confidence. We’re not sure how far he’d come around in a home, but are looking for someone who doesn’t mind him as he is now.
He has lots of human friends here at the shelter, and has a roommate to spend his days with. Franco is so sweet and playful, he just didn’t have the best start in life. We can’t wait for the day his forever family finds him. To see his bright smile lit up in a home will just be the best thing ever!
Franco Requirements:
- A playful, large, spayed female dog already in the home
- House with a yard, as he may not walk everyday
- Lots and lots of patience!
