Penelope was a little cautious when meeting new people and dogs while at the Care Center. She was adopted to a home with another female dog, Ruby, and a few volunteers were unsure of how she would acclimate to her new home. Not to worry! We recently received an email from her new parents with good news: "Ruby and Pene get along great with each other. On our way home from the shelter Ruby was in the front seat and Pene was in the back seat because we didn't know how they would interact with each other. To our surprise they were licking in each other's mouths the whole way home. They play together non stop together...which can be quite annoying while you're trying to watch the mentalist and they INSIST to recreate the whole show in their own way, but we manage. Anyways, we sent some pictures we thought were cute of Penelope and Ruby together, thank you for letting us adopt such wonderful dogs!"

Our Special was adopted not long after our feature on her amazing story. Her adopter reports:

" We adopted Special, and we just love her! She is doing very well. She's running around playing all the time. You'd never know by the way she jumps on the beds, window sills & every other place she can get into, that she has the plate & screws in her. She's also very fearless."

Dear Seal Beach Animal Shelter,

Our family just wanted to say a big thank you for allowing us to adopt our beautiful cat Bree (formerly known as Indigo). Bree is the absolute sunshine of our lives and has been the perfect addition to our family. We adopted Bree on December 18, 2009 and can honestly say we don’t know what we did before we had her.

Hi Friends!

I had the honor of adopting the kitten you called "Hot Lips" in July 2009. I renamed her Suki, and I wanted to write to you to give you an update and share with you some of her pictures. Suki has brought so much joy to my life from day one when I brought her home. She is the most affectionate and loving cat I have ever met. I have enjoyed spoiling her and giving her lots and lots of love.
